A Strong Dollar Dims Blyth’s Results Slip in 2014

Direct-to-consumer household company Blyth, Inc. posted lower sales for the fourth quarter and full year of 2014. Net sales for the year ended Dec. 31, 2014 decreased 8% to $490.0 million. For the three months ended Dec. 31, 2014, net sales decreased approximately 11% to $176.8 million. Sales for the quarter were negatively impacted by the strengthening US dollar, particularly against the euro, by approximately 5%.
